So You Shall Receive

For some time now, I have been asked to create lists of places I enjoy dining whenever I do choose to go out and spend money on a meal. I am not one who ever chooses to dine at one place on multiple occasions, as I would rather venture out and try something new if I have the opportunity.

Austin is filled with a plethora of restaurants whose owners, chefs, and other employees all care deeply about the quality of their food, the service customers receive, and the overall atmosphere of their dining room. All of this makes for a fantastic “foodie” culture, and I have had many favorable dining experiences as a result.

Any time I try a new restaurant, I typically take a group of friends so we can each order something different, share each dish, and have the opportunity to try a variety of items on the menu we’re all interested in. At the end of the meal, we split the check evenly, and each of us leave satisfied- our wallets included.

So, without further ado, here is a list of some of my favorite restaurants as of late:

Salvation Pizza

Snack Bar

Michi Ramen

Texas French Bread

La Patisserie

Pho Thaison

Thai Fresh

The Steeping Room

Quack’s Bakery

Tom’s Tabooley

Elizabeth St. Cafe

The Wright Bros. Brew & Brew

G’raj Mahal

Wholy Bagel

Thunderbird Coffee

Easy Tiger

East Side King

La Condesa

Dolce Neve

Apothecary Cafe and Wine Bar

These are in no particular order, and there are many other restaurants I frequent, but I figured I’d share these with you all as a starting point. My list of favorites varies depending on the day, but this should suffice for now. I’ll surely be adding more later.
